4 years ago - By Destructoid
Puzzle & Dragons made a pretty decent splash on 3DS when it arrived back in 2015, and now, GungoHo Online is preparing to unleash Puzzle & Dragons X on the same platform. It'll drop on July 28, and will feature a full dungeon system as well as other RPG elements. GungoHo has released the opening for the game, which you can view below.
While I'm not big on the microtransaction-laden mobile series, I really like that the 3DS version feels like a complete game out of the box. I'm interested in X for that reason.

4 years ago - By Touch Arcade
Apparently unhappy with Sega dominating the soccer management world between Football Manager Touch 2016 and Football Manager Mobile 2016 , EA has thrown their hat into the ring with the (currently) Singapore-only soft launch of FIFA Soccer: Prime Stars . On the surface, it seems a bit more light weight than Sega's offerings with gameplay that orbits around training and scouting players, then completing challenges and matches (which are rendered in full 3D) using your tricked out team.
One massive benefit that FIFA Soccer: Prime Stars has is EA has the full FIFA license, which much like...

4 years ago - By Droid Gamers
Next week on April 14th is turning into a pretty busy release day for Android games and there are even more being announced for that Thursday, with the newest title being Dungenious. Developed by Noizoo Games, this turn-based dungeon crawler is actually a bit of an unusual hybrid game, meshing dungeon crawler with RPG mechanics and a quiz system.
Update: April 14th, 2016 12:57pm PST: For those of you who were waiting for this rather unique dungeon crawler to be launched onto Android, you can now stop waiting and head over to Google Play to snap up a copy of Dungenious. Doing so through...

4 years ago - By Droid Gamers
Released by Haywire Apps, SlideBall is a simple game about keeping a ball aloft for as long as possible. The idea is for players to draw platforms on to the screen, that help keep the ball aloft. Players can draw straight lines or curves (that function as ramps) and the ball will follow the drawn path.
Bombs of various kinds litter the air, and must be avoided, as does the ground. Score is awarded by how long the ball stays in the air. To add a layer of challenge, there's an energy meter in the upper right hand corner that is used up as lines are drawn. Batteries are also floating in the...

4 years ago - By Droid Gamers
Released by Isotope 244 LLC, the same developer behind Land, Air, Sea War , Machines at War 3 is a new RTS game released on the Android platform. In this game, players will command a military contingent, tasked with recovering a cabal of researchers who've disappeared under mysterious circumstances.
The only clue to what has happened with the researchers is an SMS received that reads, "we were forced to do it". With the research's secrecy now in doubt, as well as national security, players must do what is necessary to keep the Omnicron Initiative from falling into the wrong hands, which...

4 years ago - By Touch Arcade
A few years ago when I spoke at the Korea Games Conference , I saw a whole ton of awesome games in development and one of those was Monster Raid [ Free ] by Orca. While the genre is getting a little crowded these days, Monster Raid is another free to play game focused around the idea of collecting a ton of monsters, leveling them up, and using them to clear dungeons and do other assorted things that all involve monster on monster battles. It scratches a lot of itches that players looking for a Pokemon game (without a proper one on the App Store) might have.

By Ryan Burden
Activision and Sony have announced a pair of new Ghostbusters inspired by the upcoming Ghostbusters film, coming to theatres July 15.
Both Ghostbusters games take place after the film, and introduce new casts of newbie Ghostbusters keeping watch over the station while the newly famous main Ghostbusters are out busting ghosts worldwide.
The console version, Ghostbusters , is a third-person action RPG game. It will be playable with up to four players locally, but no word of any online play. As new Ghostbusters recruits, players can level up their characters' gear and...

4 years ago - By Destructoid
Well this is an interesting promotion.
Khadgar is now available in Hearthstone as a Mage Hero character, but there's some caveats. Up until April 24, players can purchase him for $4.99, at which point all of the proceeds will go to the World Wildlife Fund.
The big catch? You can only buy him on iOS. Once he's purchased he can be played on all of your accounts, including Android and PC, but he's exclusive to that storefront. See, I told you it was an interesting proposition! Though this isn't without precedent - Blizzard also had a Samsung exclusive card back.
Khadgar Comes to the...

4 years ago - By VG 247
A new Ghostbusters video game will launch alongside the film reboot this July, but it won't contain the female-led cast or any classic characters from the franchise.
New Ghostbusters game coming in July, stars rookie foursome
Instead, the game's story takes place after the events of the new Ghostbusters film, and focuses on a rookie foursome.
While the current Ghostbusters are off touring the globe wrestling with more famous poltergeists, the rookies are responsible for keeping New York City safe. Of course, things won't go as planned. They never do.
The third-person action game with...

Original Story (April 14, 2016 3:45 p.m. Central):
Back in January, the existence of a new Activision-published Ghostbusters game was leaked. At the time, the publisher kept quiet. Today, the silence has been broken.
USA Today has an exclusive trailer revealing the game for a July 12 release date (just a few days before the new movie). It doesn't appear to be on par with the game featuring the original cast that came out in 2009. A mobile game is also in the...

4 years ago - By Attack of the Fanboy
Just as Bravely Default featured a village rebuilding mini-game that had you assigning villagers to slowly reconstruct everything while you play the main game, Bravely Second also features a similar mini-game of its own. However, rather than rebuilding Tiz's hometown of Norende we're now tasked with rebuilding newcomer Magnolia's Fort-Lune, while simultaneously defending it from incoming Ba'al attacks. The process for completing this remains similar to that of the first game, as you will have several buildings that need attention and can be leveled up from 1 to 10. The time that it takes...
