• Dragon's Dogma 2 announced at 10th Anniversary Event

    I first played Dragon's Dogma 2 when it was delivered to players as a free PlayStation Plus title way back on the PS3. Since then, I've played the game several times, reengaging years later when the game showed up on Nintendo Switch. There is no doubt that Dragon's Dogma - with its incredible combat, rewarding pawn system, and sprawling open world - is one of my favorite RPGs of the last decade.
    So I was excited last night when I learned that Capcom announced Dragon's Dogma 2 at a special 10th anniversary event celebrating the original game. You can watch the event here :

  • Dragon's Dogma II Announced

    Announced during today's “10 Years of Dragon's Dogma” event, Capcom announced today that Dragon's Dogma II is now in development.
    Developed using Capcom's RE ENGINE, Dragon's Dogma Director Hideaki Itsuno recounted in the video below how classic pen-and-paper RPGS introduced him to high fantasy. He began work on Dragon's Dogma after development of Devil May Cry 3 and Devil May Cry 4, stating that the development team's trips to the United Kingdom and its rolling hills and architectural identity helped inspire Dragon's Dogma.

    In the recent 10th-anniversary celebration video for Dragon's Dogma , director Hideaki Itsuno confirmed that Dragon's Dogma 2 is in development. No release window or platforms were announced but considering the first game launched in 2011, fans will probably be satisfied. Thankfully, a recent tweet confirmed that the sequel is in development on RE Engine .
