    4 monthes ago - By VG 247

Disgaea - the very first game in the series - is returning to PS4 and Switch this year.
Disgaea turns 15 this year, and to celebrate that, Nippon Ichi Software is releasing an updated version of the game for PS4 and Switch.
We imagine it'll be similar to the version that released for PC three years ago , but with some further updates. The trailer, embedded below, makes the bold claim that it's the “most badass RPG ever”. Well!
The game's art has been updated so that it looks better than ever (or, at least, on par with the more recent Disgaea 5), presumably with all the content ever...

  • Here's close to an hour of Yakuza Kiwami 2 footage from E3 2018

    4 monthes ago - By VG 247

There's another Yakuza game out in August - the fourth to get a Western release in two years - and we're excited for it.
With Yakuza really taking off in the west after the extremely charming Yakuza 0, an English translation of Kiwami 2 was announced. It uses the Dragon game engine introduced with Yakuza 6, so it looks a lot better than the first Kiwami.
The video is embedded below, but you'll want to skip ahead to 10:15 if you want to jump right into the...

4 monthes ago - By Gaming Nexus

Here's a deep dive into the world of Ghost of Tsushima. There was nothing quite like it at E3 this year, as far as utterly shocking the system into sitting bolt upright and taking notice of insane environmental artistry. The light that spokes out in God rays through the canopy of a bamboo forest. Or the ball-of-fire sunset shining past a shrine manicured like a bonsai sculpture. Some of these scenes make me want to cuss. I just can't believe what I'm seeing on the screen.
Volumetric mist. Light playing on leaves. Fields of wind-blown wheat. Procedural sun breaks through the clouds. Insects...

  • E3 2018: The Year of "Yeah, But."

E3 2018: The Year of "Yeah, But."

4 monthes ago - By Nintendo World Report

One man's ramblings about an E3 that gets the lowest grade possible: C minus minus When E3 actually works - which happens once every four years or so - it's because there's something that I can look forward to without reservation. E3 2018 had the following announcements in that line:
Yakuza games are multiplatform now, maybe we get that 1/2 HD port on Switch after all
    Cosmic Star...
