Take-Two subsidiary 2K Games counts as the first big publisher to announce a bump in price for next-gen games. NBA 2K21 on next-gen platforms will cost $70 , while its current-gen counterpart remains at $60. Such a hike reflects the “quality of the experience,” Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick argues. • Take-Two: $70 is not the new normal, prices set on a game-by-game basis

    1 month ago - By VG 247

While Take-Two is the first major publisher to commit to a $70 price for one of its next-gen games, the company now says this won't necessarily apply to everything. As part of Take-Two ‘s post-earnings call, where the publisher announced a record Q1 and strong revenue from its online games , the company was asked about its decision to price NBA 2K21 $70 on PS5 and Xbox Series X.
