Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Only Missing Campaign “At This Moment in Time”, Says Producer

4 monthes ago - By Gaming Bolt

Much to the disappointment of many fans, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 was confirmed to not have a campaign at its reveal event yesterday- which, especially after how well received the campaigns in Infinite Warfare and WW2 were, comes as a major bummer. Once upon a time, Treyarch used to make the best campaigns- World at War , Black Ops , and Black Ops 2 were all very well received on that front. However, Black Ops 4 seems to be breaking from tradition.
That said, Yale Miller, Senior Producer at Treyarch, suggested in an interview with Daily Star that the campaign's removal might not be...

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Hands-On Preview: Back to Basics

4 monthes ago - By Shacknews

While Call of Duty has been a staple of gaming for over a decade, the Black Ops series has proven so popular that it's nearly become a brand in itself. Treyarch is paying extra special attention to the PC version this year with Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
4K, multi-monitor support, uncapped frame-rate and custom options are all well and good, but they do nothing to help the game's waning popularity on PC.
Activision isn't helping matters when it decided to make Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 exclusive to Battle.net. You may think the choice of which launcher you use to play the game doesn't really matter, but this decision's effect goes well beyond icons and install directories.
Battle.net was not conceived as anything but a launcher for...

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's lack of traditional single-player is partly due to Black Ops 3 players

    4 monthes ago - By VG 247

Treyarch says that how the Call of Duty community interacted with Black Ops 3 influenced its decision to scrap the traditional single-player campaign.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 was unveiled during a community reveal livestream event yesterday , and as suspected, the game has scrapped its traditional multiplayer campaign , and the lack of player engagement in Black Ops 3 had a little something to do with it.
“Going back to the very beginning of Black Ops 4 development, we never had set out to make a traditional campaign. We always started from the place of, we're going to make something...
